Handmade Furniture Life Cycle

This is a personal project to experiment with inexpensive wood construction and product life cycles. There are 2 phases: Loft and Table.

Phase 1: Loft bed made from 2x4s and 4x4s. 4’-6″ tall and fit a full size bed.

Phase 2: Deconstructing the loft, re-cutting the wood, and reassembling it into a dining room table (8’ x 4’ x 4’).

The final product is sanded and lightly finished with oil to ensure that it is smooth and protected from wear and tear. It was completed using hand tools and a chop saw. The table legs are removable for easy mobility using steel angles and bolts.
