Fragmented Landscape

Professor: Michael Oatman
Site: Wheaton Arts Village, Millville NJ
Fall 2013, RPI

The premise for this project was to propose changes to the existing site of Wheaton [Glass] Arts Village in Millville, NJ in order to reshape visitor experience, fulfill the mission of Wheaton Arts of educating people about the material of glass, and turn Wheaton Arts into a destination instead of just a museum and glass art studio.

This proposal explores the idea of differentiating outdoor spaces through ground material intervention with an emphasis on the ephemeral properties of glass, fragmenting of the site to create programmatic advantages, and taking advantage of the site of for education and art exhibitions.
